Hmm, clouds and autogen look fine on my system now that I applied your fix.

Now my only problems are:
1. When engines are off and all power is off, there is still a jet whine in the external view. This has been a problem all along in FSX since rtm. I tried messing with the sound files, but I never could figure out a fix.
2. Some gauges had a transparent square behind them. I fixed that by changing the background color for the gauge in the panel.cfg file, but those surfaces should be made true transparent as well.
3. I just realized I've got to fix the gauge that shows the N-Number on the panel
4. The brakes - I don't know if this is a problem or not, but the brakes cannot hold the airplane still as you approach full power.

Improvements I'd like to see for the airplane
1. Fix the fuel system so it works like the real one does. It's close, but not quite right. I forget what needs to be fixed, but I've discussed it with the developers before.
2. I sure wish we had read access to the old forums.
3. Make the pilot disappear when the plane is off in external view
4. Unnessary cosmetic improvement - round off the insides of the passenger windows.
5. Find radios with knobs that work in VC (not necessary, but...)

Your comment about not having a problem with clouds and autogen was interesting. I dumped my copy of B300 and then reloaded V101 and your FSX copy so I was totally in sync but I still have the display problem. What I use for a test is sitting on R34R at KSEA, going to external spot view and then rotating to the left side so you can see the airport fuel storage tanks through the prop disc. On my installation you can see the fuel tanks but the prop disappears. If you load a weather theme with clouds the prop disappears behind them. I have this same problem with all the FS9 port-overs I have tried so assume it is just the way
things are. If you are not having this problem then it may be a graphics card issue.

Edit:
You can adjust the holding power of the brakes by changing toe_brakes_scale to 1.0 (or higher?) in the [brakes] section of aircraft.cfg

Just read this post, and too late now, but I will try this tomorrow!!.........the AFG B-300 is absolutely the best freeware plane in the sim, and since moving to FSX, I have tried to get something close to this, but noway, this is in a class by itself, in my opinion..............so if this works as stated, I will be a very happy simmer, and really appreciate your work in giving us one of the most enjoyable simulations available............Many Thanks, B42L8

Took me a while to figure out exactly how to do the overwrites in W7, but I think I got it right.......in any case, started up the B300 and it looked like everything worked like a charm!!...........Probably better than in FS9 if that is possible............at least here the panel is well lit so I can see the switches for starting, which went smooth..................THANKS SO MUCH for doing these changes to put my favorite plane into FSX.............if this helps, after shutdown, I had the Master Battery and Avionics switches OFF, but the radios were still on, and just clicked all of the toggles to OFF and the lights went off!! Now cold and dark, ready for another flight,,,,,,,)S, the sounds are better now as well...............D Leonard, KTUS
